  17. This custom files set adds functionality and F-Key automation for email composition, formatting and reformating capability, templates for use with ProTERM Message Manager (PTMM), and general message management.

  23. Current updates of this special files set is available from our Web and FTP sites, CompuServe, Delphi, and Genie.

  25. This macro set is an example of how to create macros F-Key macros that work for you. You can rename this file to Resident User Your Name and change the commands to suit your needs. I hope it helps you, gives you ideas for other macro and F-key use, and makes your work easier.

  27. What is the file “Resident Macro Custom”?
  28.  
  29. I developed a file similar to this one to ease my workload. It provides tools and functions needed when handling daily mail.

  31. I shared the file with friends, they liked it and adapted it for their specific needs. Hopefully it will help you.

  33. This macro set is designed for using F-keys, F1-F15. If you do not have an extended keyboard (with Fkeys), choose the Function Key palette from the ProTERM > Tools menu, and you will have the functionality of all the Fkeys.

  35. The file that does the work is a ProTERM/Mac Resident User Macro named:

  37. This file resides in the ProTERM > Macro folder

This macro shows several examples of how to create F-Key macros that work for you. You can leave the filename as is, or rename the file to a suitable name such as “Resident User Your Name” or “Resident User Mail” etc. and change the text and/or the commands in the file to suit your needs. We hope it helps you, gives you ideas for other macro and F-key use, and makes your work easier.

  43. To disable this Resident Macro Custom F-Key macro set, remove it from the ProTERM > Macro folder and follow the instructions in step 4 above.

  50.  F3 key macro Open a window showing a list of these macros.
  51.  F4 key macro Open a Calendar File.
  52.  F5 key macro Paste dot-command set for hanging paragraph (used with bullets).
  53.  F6 key macro Paste dot-command set for hanging paragraph (used with numbers).
  54.  F7 key macro Create a new doc with a mail+fortune header.
  55.  F8 key macro Open the AutoMailer from the PTMM > Compose menu.
  56.  F9 key macro Autoreply to mail or forum post.
  57. F10 key macro #1 Open a new doc and paste a mail header at the top. (Disabled) 
  58. F10 key macro #2 Paste a mail header at the top of an existing doc. (Enabled)
  59. F11 key macro Save a file to the Working folder
  60. F12 key macro Save the file to the Outbox.
  61. F13 key macro Remove all “>” characters from a document.
  62. F14 key macro Open a sample URLs window used for COMMAND-click within ProTERM.

  67. The Calendar file is opened with an F-Key. Follow the above directions, and Press F-4 to see the file.

  71. The URLs file is opened with an F-Key. Follow the above directions, and then  Press F-14 to see the file.

The URLs file is an example list, which also contains instructions how to use Command-click URLs from within ProTERM to launch your favorite web browser or FTP application. The URLs file can also contain qwik-ref storage for email, telnet lists, and other important notes you may need for your communications needs from time to time.
